Modifiers found on the world map add a rule to your game, and offer additional rewards for completing a settlement. Most modifiers make the game harder, but some are tradeoffs, and a few are purely positive. Each map modifier has an associated deed for your first completion of a settlement with that modifier.

Flooded Mines This region was heavily exploited by other viceroys. Hostility doesn't grow with each passing year, but you'll gain 2 more Hostility Points per villager.

Note: Hostility added affected by difficulty modifiers. Effective +6 per villager on Viceroy.
